£4m contract for supporting services for the OSNI 2015 large-scale mapping data in the LPS spatial Database

Land and Property Services (LPS) has issued a tender for data management and topological editing systems.

Land and Property Services is a non-ministerial department responsible for collecting, processing and managing land and property information, which underpins the collection of rates in Northern Ireland.

Land and Property Services wants to procure a solution which enables OSNI large-scale vector mapping to be efficiently updated and maintained, to the required accuracy and survey standards, by LPS data collection staff.

The procurement aims to secure support services for the OSNI_2015 large-scale mapping data in the LPS spatial Database (currently Oracle 12c) and generate replacement OSNI mapping products for customer supply as the OSNI_2015 data is revised.

The supplier will need to provide a workflow system and topological editing software to be used for editing the GML work packages extracted by the workflow solution.

The estimated contract value ranges from £2.5m to £4m, with a contract length of five years and three months.

There are also two possible optional extension periods of three  and two years respectively.
