The EU online hub for R&I in cybersecurity and privacy in Europe will offer users access to ICT products, services and software as well as play key role in cybersecurity and privacy policy discussion

The EU has launched a European catalogue of cybersecurity and privacy services that will provide results and information from cybersecurity and privacy research and innovation initiatives funded on a European, national and regional basis.

The catalogue is a scheme from the EU-funded project, the European observatory of research and innovation in the field of cybersecurity and privacy.

The portal is open to users in the public administration at both the national and local level that are interested in cyber security and privacy research and innovation initiatives.

Funded for €2m under the European Commission's H2020 programme, the initiative will receive EU funding until April 2021.

The new catalogue is intended to enhance Digital Single Market safety and promote the uptake and understanding of cutting-edge cybersecurity and privacy services which emerge from research and innovation initiatives across Europe.

SMEs will have access to a marketplace and catalogue of demand-supply reference hub bringing together cybersecurity and privacy providers of secure technologies.

The portal will offer:

  • An observatory of all cybersecurity and privacy initiatives, collecting the most important on-going activities and achievements in these two fields
  • An online catalogue of services, which will collect all the initiatives, making them visible, accessible and usable from the European SMEs
  • An interactive marketplace, showcasing EU excellence in cybersecurity and privacy services
  • An SMEs end users club, a validation lab where the EU research outcomes will be tested practically and potentially implemented by SMEs.
